The Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA) is making a donation of U.S. $10,000 towards jewellery related projects to drive economic growth.

The concept of the education Fund is to coordinate and support educational programs advancing sustainable jewellery industry projects, germinated at CIBJO Executive Committee’s Geneva conference at the United Nations headquarters during November 2007.

The conclusion was taken by CIBJO, World Jewellery Confederation, UN Development Program and the UN’s Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), of which CIBJO is a part. The CJA hosted the 2006 CIBJO Congress which took place in Vancouver, British Columbia.
